DAY BY DAY

Day 1: Arrival at Arusha

Your designated guide will be waiting to pick you up at either of the two airports—Arusha or Kilimanjaro International airport—depending on the arrival time of your flight. After an inviting welcome, he will transfer you to your hotel where you may unwind for the rest of the day while getting ready for a for an experience of a lifetime. If you have time in your hands, you can book a city tour with as, check out our activities page for more info.

Day 2&3: Tarangire National Park

Just approximately 2 hours’ drive from Arusha, Tarangire National Park is best known for its elephant families, savannah, iconic baobab trees, seasonal swamps and the life-giving Tarangire River. Animals gather at the river and giraffes; bushbuck and hartebeest are often seen. The Park is also home to buffalo, zebra and wildebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators such as lions and leopards and rarely cheetahs. You will spend two days in this incredible park which has plenty to offer so make sure to make the most of it.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park (Central/East/west)

Passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will be able to see the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater before traveling onwards to the Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti National Park is the 3rd largest park in Tanzania but the most popular with diverse landscapes and habitats, such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah and mountains covering a whopping 14 000 sq. km and offers amongst many other things the biggest concentration of big cats in the world (Cheetahs, Lions, Leopards, Wild cats…).

Day 5: Serengeti National Park (North-Kogatende)

You will depart the next day for Northern part of the park for a game drive as usual but mainly viewing the world-renowned great migration. River crossings at Kogatende starts in July as the mega herd settles into the area. Between August-October, game viewing is at its best with river crossings pretty much guaranteed every day. There is no distinct movement as the herds tend to cross back and forth over the river, following the rains and subsequent fresh grasses.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park (Central/West/East)

This day you will leave your accommodation to explore a little more of the northern Serengeti whether it is hunting again for the migration crossings if you weren’t lucky the other day or seeing one more time which is really a charm! Late afternoon you will drive back to Serengeti Central while doing a game drive until you find your home for the night

Day 7: Ngorongoro Conservation Area & Ngorongoro Crater

You will leave Serengeti National Park in the morning through the Naabi gate in the Naabi hills and head to Ngorongoro. This UNESCO World Heritage Site millions of years ago, is 600m deep and covers roughly 260sq km. Due to its dense animal population of approximately 25,000, the crater offers the best game viewing of all the parks in Tanzania. You will descend into the crater and in a matter of minutes, you will be able to see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and a very good number of the more than 500 bird species

Day 8: A Complimentary Mto Wa Mbu Tour (Optional) – Arusha Airport-Zanzibar

depending on the departure time of you flight as well as your own accord, you will have a guided tour of the lovely community of Mto wa Mbu and get to see a side of Tanzania that very few visitors get to see. We will give you a local guide FOC who was born and raised in the village meaning that you will have the unique opportunity to see the community through his eyes. Mto wa Mbu is well-known for its banana, rice, and coffee plantations. Explore youth art galleries, woodworking studios, and local markets as well as wonder around the local market to experience different foods and fruits of Tanzania. Your guide will then drive you to the Arusha airport where you will say goodbyes and head for your flight to the next destination ZANZIBAR!

Do not miss out the Zanzibar Night Food Market where you can try different types of Zanzibar local food (largely influenced by Arabic food) and plenty of fresh seafoods.

Day 10- 12: Zanzibar Beach

After checking out from your hotel in Stone Town, You will be picked up and transferred to another hotel located in one of the best beaches in Zanzibar where you will get a front row seat to the white sands beaches and blue turquoise water If you are a water sport lover then this place is your lover as you may organize different activities with your hotel such as snorkeling, scuba diving and sailing to kite- and windsurfing.
