Trip summary

Unlike the typical safari itineraries where you find yourself spending your whole day just seated in your jeep from beginning to end, this itinerary is purposely designed to get you on your feet through out the entire safari. It  involves well calculated activities such as walking and hiking around the parks an other naturistic areas to get you as active as possible

DAY BY DAY

Day 1: Arrival at Arusha

Your designated guide will be waiting to pick you up at either of the two airports—Arusha or Kilimanjaro International airport—depending on the arrival time of your flight. After an inviting welcome, he will transfer you to your hotel where you may unwind for the rest of the day while getting ready for a for an experience of a lifetime. Day 2: Nature Walk and Relaxation day

A slow day where you will have time to be familiar and acquainted with Arusha. You will start with a city tour around the urban center of Arusha then proceed to a beautiful nature walk to the incredible Napuru waterfalls.  Please beware that they will be a short hike back up from the falls

Day 3: Tarangire National Park with walking safari

Just approximately 2 hours’ drive from Arusha, Tarangire National Park is best known for its elephant families, savannah, iconic baobab trees, seasonal swamps and the life-giving Tarangire River. This day you, will dump your jeep for a couple of hours to experience African safaris differently by having a fully armed guided walking safari around the park.

In Tarangire Animals gather at the river and giraffes; bushbuck and hartebeest are often seen. The Park is also home to buffalo, zebra and wildebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators such as lions and leopards and rarely cheetahs. You will spend two days in this incredible park which has plenty to offer so make sure to make the most of it. 

Day 4: Full day at mto wa Mbu

You will have a guided tour of the lovely community of Mto wa Mbu and get to see a side of Tanzania that very few visitors get to see. You will be accompanied by a local guide who was born and raised in the village meaning that you will have the unique opportunity to see the community through his eyes. Mto wa Mbu is well-known for its banana, rice, and coffee plantations. Explore youth art galleries, woodworking studios, and local markets. This day you will also have a local cuisine cooking class prepared specially for you where you will be taught how to cook different Tanzanian signatures such as UGALI, BANANA PLANTAINS and many more.

Day 5 & 6: Lake Natron & ngaresero waterfalls

This UNESCO World Heritage Site millions of years ago, is 600m deep and covers roughly 260sq km. Due to its dense animal population of approximately 25,000, the crater offers the best game viewing of all the parks in Tanzania. You will descend into the crater and in a matter of minutes, you will be able to see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and a very good number of the more than 500 bird species in the area which included both native and migrants (from Northern Africa and Europe if you come on the months of November-April).

Day 7&8: Serengeti National Park (Central/East/west)

You will begin your day early and enjoy the morning lights and begin your safari to the next destination and home for the next few days. The Serengeti National Park is the 3rd largest park in Tanzania but the most popular with diverse landscapes and habitats, such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah and mountains covering a whopping 14 000 sq. km and offers amongst many other things the biggest concentration of big cats in the world (Cheetahs, Lions, Leopards, Wild cats…).

Day 9: Ngorongoro Conservation Area & Crater

You will leave Serengeti National Park in the morning through the Naabi gate in the Naabi hills and head to Ngorongoro. Day 10: Arusha Airport-Zanzibar

Depending on the departure time of you flight as well as your own accord you may have a late breakfast and relax in your accommodation. Your guide will then pick you up at an agreed time and drive you to the Arusha airport where you will say goodbyes and head for your flight to the next destination ZANZIBAR!

Day 11&12&13: Zanzibar Beach

In one of the best beaches in Zanzibar where you will have a front row seat to the white sands beaches and blue turquoise water If you are a water sport lover then this place is your lover as you may organize different activities with your hotel such as snorkeling, scuba diving and sailing to kite- and windsurfing. Swim among the wonderful reef fish and enjoy the sights of many diverse marine creatures like turtles, rays, barracudas, octopus, zebrafish, Moorish idols, lion fish, and many more.

DAY 14 FLY OUT

This day, your adventure with wild authentic Tanzania comes into as an end. Depending on the departure time of our flight, you will be transferred to the airport from the hotel.
